Drone Services & Operations
What drone do you use?
Antler Aerial operates a DJI Matrice 4T enterprise drone equipped with thermal imaging, high-resolution visual cameras, and powerful zoom capabilities.
How does thermal imaging work?
Thermal imaging detects differences in heat rather than relying only on visible light. Animals can stand out from the surrounding environment when temperature, vegetation, weather, and terrain create favorable conditions.
Are there times when you cannot fly?
Yes. Weather, wind, precipitation, visibility, airspace restrictions, property access, and other safety considerations can delay or prevent a flight. Safety and legal operation come first.
Do you fly at night?
Night operations are possible when the mission, airspace, weather, and safety conditions allow. Low-light conditions can also be favorable for thermal searches.
Are waivers or property permissions required?
Some services require a signed waiver before flight, and appropriate permission is required when access to private property is necessary. We will explain anything needed before the mission begins.
Can you guarantee a recovery, animal count, or other result?
No. Drone technology can improve coverage and provide valuable information, but results depend on conditions, terrain, vegetation, timing, animal movement, and the specific mission. We set realistic expectations before every flight.
What do I receive with aerial mapping?
Mapping deliverables are digital-first and can include a high-resolution 2D aerial map, interactive 3D options, seasonal mapping, and optional custom property-planning overlays. The exact package depends on acreage and the goals for the property.
How far do you travel?
Antler Aerial is based in Southeastern Wisconsin and travels for projects depending on the service, schedule, and property. Any applicable travel or mileage charge is discussed before dispatch or scheduling.
How do I get started?
